We are excited to announce that Matt Dambeck has been named Chief Executive Officer of Genesee BioMedical, Inc., marking the start of a new era of growth, innovation, and collaboration.
A New Chapter of Leadership
Matt joined our team in January 2025 as Chief Revenue Officer, where he quickly made an impact by strengthening our commercial and operational strategy. His focus on aligning sales, marketing, business development, and manufacturing has already energized the business, and now, as CEO, he will guide Genesee into its next phase of growth.
With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience — including executive roles at Convatec, Cardinal Health, Stryker, Innovative Health, and other private equity–backed medical device companies — Matt brings the vision and expertise to expand our cardiovascular portfolio, scale operations, and deepen partnerships with the surgical community.

Honoring Woody’s Legacy
This transition also gives us the opportunity to honor and celebrate Woody Mathison, who retired after 31 years of dedicated leadership. Woody joined Genesee in 1994 and helped grow the company into a respected innovator in cardiac surgery, always staying true to our mission of collaborating with surgeons to solve real clinical challenges.
As Matt himself reflected:
