The 2026 Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Annual Meeting in New Orleans marked a strong and energizing start to the year for Genesee BioMedical, Inc. As one of the most influential gatherings in cardiothoracic surgery, STS brings together surgeons, clinical leaders, and industry partners from around the world to exchange ideas, share experience, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the future of the field.

From the outset, STS 2026 was defined by connection. Across the exhibit hall and throughout the week, we had the opportunity to engage in thoughtful conversations with surgeons and partners, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and continued presence within the cardiac surgery community.

Strong Engagement Across the Meeting

Throughout the meeting, discussions were grounded in real-world surgical practice. Surgeons shared insights shaped by daily experience, procedural preferences, and evolving clinical needs. These conversations underscored the value of listening closely and staying aligned with what matters most in the operating room.

STS also provided an important opportunity to reconnect with long-standing partners while building new relationships. Many discussions built naturally on conversations that began at prior meetings, reflecting the continuity and momentum that comes from consistent engagement across events.

Showcasing the Full Genesee BioMedical, Inc. Portfolio

STS 2026 offered an important platform to showcase the breadth of the Genesee BioMedical, Inc. portfolio and how our solutions support cardiac surgery across a wide range of procedures and approaches.

Conversations spanned our annuloplasty portfolio, including the TransForm™ McCarthy Mitral Annuloplasty Ring, as well as retractors, graft markers, robotic-assisted instruments, minimally invasive tools, and aortic solutions. Rather than focusing on any single product, discussions centered on how a comprehensive, thoughtfully designed portfolio can support surgical workflow, adaptability, and confidence in diverse clinical scenarios.

These exchanges highlighted a shared focus on practical, reliable solutions designed with surgeon experience in mind.

Building Momentum for the Year Ahead

As the first major meeting of 2026, STS set a strong foundation for the year ahead. The engagement and insights gained in New Orleans continue to inform how we approach collaboration, innovation, and partnership with the cardiac surgery community.

We now look ahead to the American Association for Thoracic Surgery Annual Meeting (AATS) in Chicago this May, where surgeons and clinical leaders will once again come together to share perspectives, advance scientific exchange, and shape the future of cardiothoracic surgery.
